UIF – Unemployment Insurance Fund, refers to the fund that gives short-term relief to workers when they become unemployed or are unable to work.
SDL – Skills Development Levy, is a South African levy that encourages learning and development for workers.
By law, employers are required to register for PAYE/UIF/SDL, ignoring this could result in hefty penalties for the employer.
